Jumping with over reach boots or 2 sausage boots behind?

I'm probably just being silly but I'm struggling with this concept 😂

Now the jumps are getting bigger, my mare is frequently cutting herself on the inside of her pasterns behind. She's very active behind and moves quite close behind anyway.

The only way I can think to prevent it is overreach boots behind or 2 sausage boots but you never see this done. They aren't nasty cuts but happen frequently when she's jumping 105cm+.

Is that even BE/BS legal?

I can't see why unweighted (check that the sausage boots aren't naturally too weighty) would be but I don't know either BE or BD rule books that well. Different discipline but mine competes in hind OR boots due to cutting his lower hind 'heels' turning sharply and when he gets tired.

I used to used to jump BS in a hind sausage boot. I don't think I have ever seen anyone use 2, but should be fine. Might be worth checking if you want to do age classes as there are different rules for them

I use pastern wraps on Dora because she's constantly knocking herself when she still has her unbalanced wobbly moments. I have a woof wear set that cost probably around £11?

Ohhh didn't realise pattern wraps were a thing. Those look a bit better.

Do you ever have any issues with them slipping? Thank you!
