Do horses like jumping ? If so I think my horse, Tucker must love it.

We have 2 schools at our yard. One with jumps in, one without. I mostly use the one without but this evening I went in the one with jumps for a change. I only planned to do flatwork but Tucker seemed to keep pulling me towards the jumps so I popped him over a cross pole. Well, after that I could hardly keep him away from the jumps so we ended up doing them all (more than once). They weren't particularly high but they were respectable. All I had to do was point him in the general direction of a jump and he'd lock on and take us over.

I've never had a horse that was so easy to jump before - I'm lovin' it

Anyone else's horse like this ?

Ooh yes, dosen't matter what you do on top, he will take you over, never stops. Don't do a lot and only small ones ATM as have lost my nerve since having a baby and he goes a bit faster than I'd like.

Yep mine. If I schooling in a jumping arena or have a lesson with jumps in the school, when I come across the diganol he will lock onto a fence in his sight. Takes a lot of work not to jump it!
We did (and won) the novice workers last week and in his show he was certainly up for jumping round again!!

If there's a jump in sight Baz will lock onto it - and it doesn't matter how big it is - the bigger the better!! He loves jumping and has never once shown any signs of stopping - he's fab :-)

Toto turns himself into jumps, if I'm cantering around the school and there's a jump, he'll go off the track himself and go over the jump

But if I'm doing a course or anything he's good and waits for me to turn him instead, and he never pulls me towards then, he'll turn towards them but he doesn't go any faster and I can turn him away if I want to

Ed is like this - we have a similar school set up to yours - and you better believe if you turn him into a jump - you are jumping it!!!
