Junior BS Advice

Just after some advice on junior competing BS, everything I've seen refers to juniors competing on ponies, but my daughter has a 16hh ex racer that she would like to compete, just wondering what membership / classes she would need to look at doing with the combination of horse & rider ?

I'm not an expert on BS but I think she will need to compete with the adults in the horse classes. There are classes for children on horses but think they are an FEI thing and so quite high powered so depends what level you are talking about. Take a look at the BS website which should answer most of your questions.

^^ This, she would need to compete in BS seniors, Juniors is for ponies 148cm and under.

So even if she's only 12 she would still need to compete in seniors ? As an open class I presume ?

Yes, as in open to children and adults on horses over 14.2hh (or adults on ponies - as they can't compete in the junior classes). There are of course different levels and heights of competition depending on whether the horse has a previous record etc. BS website should explain. There are also schools sections I believe but I don't have any experience.
