JUNO GOING IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS - A SAD POST

for those who dont already know the story - ill update you - juno was on loan to me and i had a sharer (sarah) have had them both just over a year - i have ust bought a new pony and sarah has taken over the loan - owner at first wanted juno back but then after us being devastated agreed that sarah should take over the loan and she could keep her for a couple of years - everyone overjoyed - (sarahs first horse) At the weekend i had a call from owner to say that one of junos offspring had wiped the floor with some showing show or other and was in horse and hound and that she would like her back in the spring to start breeding from her again (£££££'s in eyes!!!!) we are all devastated AGAIN.
Any way after sleepless nights all weekend for both of us sarah has decided that she cannot cope with the emotion of knowing that our darling pony will have to leave. so she phone owner today and asked her to collect her as soon as possible.
The reply was 'I thought you could keep her until spring as i already have 2 foals here and dont have the room yet and i have no transport so you will have to arrange to get her here'
Sarah has said she must arrange her own transport and grazing facilites.
We feel as though owner has really messed us about and is still trying to manipulate us to her own advantage. but its sarah that i feel so sorry for she is so upset.
Sorry for moan - had to get it off my chest guys

I remember your earlier post about this. I was really hoping this is what I wouldn't be reading.

I'm so sorry, it sounds really upsetting. Her owner sounds like a pain in the proverbial so make her organise her own transport etc. Don't make life easy for someone who who has messed you around so much.

Thanks for that gingerbird- its such a shame she has just turned a corner as well - she is only on 1/2 bute a day now and staying completly sound - she so loves all the fuss and attention but now we cant touch her as when she goes back she will be living out so we have to stop grooming her so that she builds coat up for the winter. its so sad. she also loves hacking out her ears are pricked and she even tried to buck on the stubble last week as she was so happy and full of it!

Am so sorry - and after all you've been through with her. I can't believe the cheek of the owner either. I hope Sarah finds a nice loan horse soon - with a much more considerate owner!

Thats a shame, I can only imagine how upset you must both be! I think you did the right thing though as the owner is messing you around so much, all inexchange for you both taking wonderful care of her horse!
