Just 2 horses living together

Hi I am currently looking to move of a small livery yard on get my own little field, it has 2 stables. I have 2 horses and I am.worried that when I take one out riding that the other will freak out ! How has anyone else dealt with this ?
They live out all year round. And I can't afford another one as a companion.

I've kept 2 at home for years I bring both in whatever I do as if I leave one in the field they just gallop about screaming, they are both quite happy being left in there stables with a haynet though so it has worked out for me.

Same as above- I have 2 & have to bring them both in the stable with some hay then they’re fine but if I leave one out they run & scream

Thankyou both thats reassuring. Mine are not used to being stabled as live out all year but I plan on getting them used to the stables if I get this place to rent x

They will get used to it… I now have three but not because I couldn’t manage two on their own. Two is easy - just bring them both in and turn them both out at the same times. Leave one in the stable whilst you ride the other one.. start off with short rides and gradually increase the amount of time the horse is left alone for. I used to give mine a treat ball whilst I was out to keep them occupied.

Thankyou so much. Its daunting going alone. But I am desperate to get my own place for them.
I was just imagining one of them wrecking the place while I was riding the other. X

I have 3 here now his not mine though but I can bring Arabi in on his own and ride and leave the other 2 out, but I tried it with Louis and he completely freaked out his only happy if they all come in pita ?

Mini shetland is quite happy in her stable while we hack out, but will run about shouting loudly if left in the field.
