have been looking for a specific breed rescue dog, breed rescues have nothing available at the moment so calling round local rescues. RSPCA website linked to one in my area which I called,

She went on to tell me that they don't have any in rescue but she had a litter of pups if I was interested, turns out she breeds 10 different varieties, including a number of random crossbreeds, she doesn't KC reg and no mention of health tests anywhere. How can someone run a rescue and a puppy farm at the same time, I just don't know what to make of it?!? Oh, but they are accredited breeders of Dog Lovers Club, so that's ok then. How on earth can the RSPCA justify using the same premises for their dogs?! How many people turn up looking for a rescue dog and leave with a cute pup, leaving the owner quids in.

Arrgghh. Thanks for listening.

I imagine so, she was very open about how it's her business and of course you can pay through PayPal or by credit card through the beautifully designed website, will certainly be letting the RSPCA know of my disapproval. About time we had some Swedish style dog breeding regulations in this country.

Incidentally, my poorly bred but fully DLC papered  rescue cav in my signature died very suddenly and horrifically from epilepsy last September aged just 4, hasn't put me off rescues thankfully because we had a wonderful 9 months with him and he was a very happy little dog but if I ever got hold of his 'breeder' they would feel my wrath!

Just disgusting..I would be doing as CC says..tax man andRSPCA..but don't get fobbed off..put it it writing to the CEO..just incase local officer is a bit pally...I would also make as many fb groups aware as poss..without getting personal..just as you have done here.
Very sorry to hear about your lovely little Cav..I had two as a child & they were amazing! You have some lovely pics on your sig..tho seems a hard couple of years..<hugs>

Thanks guys, it was a horrible experience and it's taken me this long to even think about another one :(

We are moving back down south very shortly so this place is in England, I am very cautious about naming and shaming because of my profession but will be sharing my thoughts with the RSPCA, so mad right now!!!

Good advice above, and also tell your local dog warden, as they are usually the ones taking strays to rescue kennels...

Sorry no advice on the situation, just wanted to say sorry for your loss, I lost my beloved 3yr old Collie to epilepsy last month, it is so tragic and heartbreaking all my sympathies to you. xx
