Just a very proud photo of Mrs Collie tonight. Sitting quietly on her mat at her agility class. No screaming. No spinning at the end of her lead. No lunging at anything in eyeshot. Just watching and taking life in. 2 and a bit years to get to this point.
Still needs to replicate at flyball but immense progress and we will get there!

I bet you are the envy of all the other collie owners. I'm jealous and I haven't even started agility with my collie puppy yet, lol! I just know she is going to be great but absolutely mental about the whole thing!

What's your secret @Karran

Loads and loads and LOADS of Matwork, I followed the Absolute Dogs Boundary Games https://absolutedog.s3.amazonaws.com/ebooks/BoundaryGames_V5.pdf (free ebook) but loads of other trainers have similar programmes. Lots of feeding on her bed, making it a super rewarding place to be, and then taking it with us to obedience classes (also a place for a HUGE breakdown when other dogs were working!) Before taking it to Agility.

Still inclined to hop off of it every so often, but she will settle and find her way to it. I want to start taking it to Flyball while the other dogs are training so she can settle and watch and work on being calm around that environment but its not rock solid enough to do that, but hopefully soon.

I really wish I had taught it to Mrs Spaniel when she was younger, its such a useful tool!
