for hypothetical reasons, not planning to do this but...
What if I sell my mare....
Potential owner wants her vetted...
Yet she is a MASSIVE vet hater...
In 9 years of having her, it has taken 6 years for her NOT to attempt to kill the vet at her annual jabs, she has NEVER had her heart listened too as in a past attempt she got so stressed that not only did the vet say it wasn't helping with her heart racing but he was also fearing for his life!! The mare will literally kick with all 4 feet, barge. squash and if all else fails she will try hard to kneel down on top of you/vet. I always have to bridle her for vet, wear all protective clothing and warn vet about her potential behaviour. Now mastered the jab, but not yet achieved anything else!!
So, if ever the situation arose in future for selling her, how could she possibly be vetted? I think she will have to fail cos it couldn't happen - or is there a way that iam not aware of??
BTW, ANY vet treatment is a nighmare - a simple cut takes all of our skill to apply cream without getting hurt - imagin a paintbrush on a long stick kinda way - can anyone beat that of an otherwise lovely horse who is rising 14!!
