Is it usual to feel slight heat in a tb currently rehabbing from a very slight Sdft injury. Scanned fine 6weeks ago and has been doing road work 4 days a week. Heat is only occasional and there is no swelling and has never been lame. Heat always goes over night and is fine the next morning. Could it be concussion?

My guy is 6 months recovering from a sdft injury he gets ocassional heat if he's been stood in overnight, goes away with manipulation or if he's out walking on it, he got the all clear to turnout from the vet last week. So basically it could be any number of reasons why your guy has heat but if his latest scan was ok and the heat goes away then try not to worry if you are worried cold hose him and contact the vet, i ignore it with my guy to an extent if its any worse he is cold hosed and has his therapy boots on

Yes he is very sensible out and was being silly lunging himself when in so has been out for the last 4 weeks and has been much better for it! I think I'm just being over cautious! I had been thinking about introducing 5mins trot but felt a bit of heat Saturday and thought twice!
