I have named a couple in the past. Soul Sista was one and Valentino Swing another. They both ran in England. The mother of SS had a half brother named Funksoulbrother and VS was out of Best Swinger.

I'd call one 'The Favourite' and I'd call the other 'Hundredtooneshot' . The naffest one would be The Favourite and the one most likely to win or do well I would call Hundred just to confuse the hell out of commentators and punters alike :-D

I do Creative Writing at uni, for my final assignment last year I wrote the first 2 chapters of a novel based on racing. The racing name of the horse in my novel was Only If.

My friends have a share in a horse (they own about one hoof ) That horse was already named but if they get one entirely of their own they want to call it No F In Chance. Not sure that would be allowed though

I came up with Betty Spaghetti and decided to Google it. Turns out that there is a doll in the USA called this. Still think it's a great name for a race horse though

Someone I know used to mock horses for having show names as well as normal stable names & used to call my old mare 'Grandads Left Slipper'. I know it's really odd & random but it always makes me smile & I think it'd be a really cool racehorse name.
