I bring you pictures - lots of pictures!

As you can see, the Camel Horse has acquired a new friend. Meet Arthur :) Around 15hh of perfect gentleman. He arrived yesterday, after an eighty mile journey, and is settling in very nicely indeed. He is aged fifteen, and has been a trotter and a riding horse previously. He has been out of work for about a year and a half now, so please excuse his current lack of top line. It's on the list of things to do, along with teeth, back and feet etc.

This was him in his stable - please excuse the old name plaque on the door!

My plan is to ride Arthur whilst the Camel Horse finishes growing. If indeed he ever finishes – he is aiming for tallest Connemara ever, and at this rate I shall need not only a step ladder but also an oxygen tank...

Shameless bump cos it's Saturday. Just another one of the three of them; Arthur in full swing, only wish I'd gotten one of his knee action - it is impressive :) I also missed him rolling, grr...
 
Lovely, looks to be settling in well. I have seen camel horse before but whose the other one in the picture?
 
That's nice that you have two youngsters growing up together. It will be ideal when you take Arthur out as well as you are not leaving one behind alone.

Yes, it works out nicely for everyone :) They have about ten acres to roam over, mostly hills, so great for building muscle.
 
I'm going to bring the Camel Horse in this afternoon and work on standing tied (without untying himself), and holding up his feet nicely instead of fidgeting. I can do his feet in the field without any issue, but obviously this will not suit the trimmer, and so he must learn! I shall try to get some proper pictures of him then :)
 
That's lovely. So nice to see a group of youngsters out together! Wow, he'll feel great when he starts being ridden. Pony always feels incredible after having spent a couple of days with his little herd of mares- so much muscle, power and athleticism! Good luck with yours!
 
I think that your new boy looks lovely. :) I hope that they're all best buddies soon and that you don't need an oxygen tank when you can ride the beautiful camel horse! :p ;)
 
New boy looks lovely but I do have a very soft spot for Camel horse. :)

Glad they are getting on well hope you have lots of fun with them both (and also take lots of pics while you are doing it (and post them on here) ;) )
