So breeze was lightly backed in may and June turned away for a month or so and returned to work In August , she is 3 and half now. Been hacking her 3 to 5 times a week and she is getting the occasional week off in between due to a new job. September was our 2 nd ownerversary, and she is coming on in leaps and bounds.

sunday went out on a new route solo hacking and had thunder and lightning half way round.... She didn't bat an eye lid.
yesterday Gail force winds and sideways rain, a quick hack for an hour ... Again nothing....

yesterday received a text to say they were autumn HH ting in the next village, so off we went this morning to experience hunting for the first time on her......

no jumps, and out of 2 and half hours out only about an hour of work. She stayed happily at the back all day, turns automatically to face hounds and any horses coming past and happily left the rest after we had done our couple of hours.

I loe this horse and today although not an active hunting day, was genuinely the best days hunting I've ever had, she stopped with the others, let others overtake, and waited back to do gates etc.

o action shots from me today just a few of my girl cos I lurve her

as a baby

Thanks and only properly riding out and broken i for two months :) first horse of my own I've done from scratch.... done others for other people and retrained some messed up horses as a teenager but wow. Ove this mare. and before anyone says, this was a couple light hours to experience hounds etc, she will go to a couple more meets and do a couple of non jumping hours and come home. She is to be turned away in February for 6 weeks to be a horse and grow and chill out .

I hope so Laura .....I got her 2 years ago when I was married etc, now a single mum to a 4 and 5 year old, breaking in a horse and finding time to ride her around a full time job feels impossible at times but is my escape. I dont compete so would live a sane horse to hunt occasionally and don't want to break myself anymore lol

What a lovely post really made me smile, it's so nice when you love your horse. What's her breeding and what size is she ? wishing you many horsey adventures with her.

She about 15.2hh and is a Penpont pony from Bodmin moor. Her sire is Cornish Jason a leopard spot appaloosa and her mum is called wave a welsh type mare . Hi Zoe didn't know you were on here !!! I love her she's a cracking horse

Lol joined years ago. Only just started coming back on as forgot about it lol. Another user on here used to own fatty, she sent me photos :) xx

Ah she's gorgeous, love the colouring. Know what you mean about being so happy you can't sleep :)

Thanks dad was a full leopard spot appy and um was a blue roan welsh type. She's actually coloured with pure white arch over her bum, white patches on her neck and shoulder . But the roan on her is almost a marble varnish like an appy ..... She has some brown spots on her back legs and white sow flakes over her roan.

I had a strawberry roan welsh when I was 6 and a coloured cob as a teenager, I said my dream would be a coloured and another roan.... Couldn't afford two roses though so when I saw a roan and white coloured filly I had to see her.... I wasn't looking for a horse at the time but went and brought her oppppps. Best horse I've ever had :)
