Completely self indulgent post. I feel very proud of myself, managed to get my sorry arse out of bed this morning and ride two before I came to work. I have no haylage in my hair or down my bra and actually don't look like I went to work straight from the yard. My friend that meets me in the mornings to ride couldn't believe I was on time this morning, I know it's not that early we meet at 6.45am but I was there, and awake. . . . OK it will all go horribly wrong tomorrow when I am too tired and end up late but we are now on our fourth week of AM rides and I'm pretty pleased with myself. Only down side is I have 4 to exercise when I get home and 12 stables to muck out . . . OUCH

Good grief, you have 6 in total to ride and 12 to muck out, AND you go to work!!!

Yes you're completely mad

Wish I managed to get to work without smelling of horse pee or depositing half a bale of hay on the office floor when i turn down my turn-ups! (I turn my trousers up to avoid dragging them through dung and wee, but I failed to realise that they then end up catching all the bedding that gets flicked in their general direction!

) which then ends up at work!

Yes completely mad! I go to work for a rest! at least weekdays arn't too bad but weekends is when I do all my catch up jobs, eg, fencing, extra haylage runs, straw runs etc so I am set up for the week. The things we do for our neddies!

Cazza I feel your pain lol

YO went off hacking first thing today, i put my boys out in their summer paddock today for the first time since Boxing Day YAY!
Will ride 2 later, but all 4 stables are mucked out and left up drying.
Have another horse coming in in the next few weeks so I will be back to 5 and then 6 when YO goes off to Germany....my days off are filled with mucking out argh!!!

Shall get up and ride before work tomorrow, now that the boys are out during the day the stables are far easier to much out YAY

PMSL - I usually end up with it all over my kitchen floor, sofa, or wherever I turn them down! I have the work regime off to a fine tee:

5.30am - Alarm goes off (beat the hell out of alarm clock and snooze)
5.45am - Drag sorry arse out of bed, put kettle on and switch on shower
5.50am - Jump in shower and try to wake up
6.00am - Pour tea and get dressed into upper body office clothes and yard jeans
6.10am - Light a cigarette! and put office skirt/trousers into a bag and office shoes
6.15am - Sort out unruly mop on head and make myself look semi presentable (note this takes a long time!)
6.40am - Leave house armed with office and yard stuff.
6.45am - if all the above goes smoothly I am now at yard going to catch the horses in.

Ha ha see if only I could stick to the above I would be fine, but I am not really that great in the mornings. The worrying thing is I have just realised how simple my mornings could be, ho hum!

And typically all the horses that are being ridden all live out and all the ones that need mucking out are in, 4 broodmares in with their foals getting ready for weaning, stallion who gets turned out during the day, the 2 year old who moves over to a day stable, and then the others that are in because of eg. abcess/beaten up in field etc.

ANYONE WANT MY LIFE FOR A WEEK OR SO?

better, the dressage score was two points better than on the saturday so all round very pleased (I think she got a better score 'cos I plaited her up!

). Yes you do know me and being that organised that early in the morning is not happening. Quite scarey really as reading it back it all seems so simple. Anyway you! when are you going to come over and see me! The ground is perfect at the mo for a blast!
