Apologies for those of you who are my FB friends who see endless greyhound pics :D

Islay is 12 years and 8 months old now.... I love her more than anything, so I had to take a picture of her begging for pasta just now (I had no idea dogs liked pasta??!!??)

The shaved patch on her leg is where she was admitted to vet hospital last weekend to be put on a drip, she had blood tests and antibiotics after a nasty bout of gastroenteritis but she has made a full recovery and is bouncing around like a puppy again :) The blood tests were all good too, which the vet said was very pleasing and fairly surprising for a dog of her age, so fingers crossed we are over that 'blip' and I have a little while longer of enjoying her company :)
 
Ah she looks a poppet, glad she has recovered well.

My dog used to love pasta but for some reason it would make her sick, probably because she ate it too quickly, I'm not sure...

She looks beautifully content in that pic :)
 
Aww, she reminds me of my bitch, Flossie. Shes an old lady too, and is whippety sized with a big dose of collie, but she has that same look to her face and eyes :)
 
What a beautiful girl she is, so glad she's recovered from her Gastro.
Never apologise for too many Greyhound pictures, because you can never have too many! 😉

My Grey likes pasta too.
 
LOL I shall now start flooding AAD with greyhound pics, I don't need any encouragement :D Thank you all again, I really do appreciate your comments xxx

I have wanted to take one on for years, and finally this year we were in a position to do so. She is a complete poppet. I will try and figure out how to use my photobucket again! it's been a while since I've posted photos.

Love a brindle (well, love any Greyhound..!)
I believe I saw her on KGR FB page.
She looks very happy and settled already, enjoy your 60mph couch potato!
 
Star is absolutely beautiful Seaofdreams :) My first rescue greyhound was a red brindle, for quite a long time after I lost her I couldn't see a brindle greyhound without crying :o but now quite a few years have passed I would love another one :)
