Was in the field chexking my boys leg, 2 boys next 2 me and when i checked the other was at the opposite end of the field. next thing i know my boy ran away, nearly knocked me ovee and i was bouncing off the back end of a 16.3 ID! think i must have ended between his back legs and he just caught my arm.and leg with his leg and not his hoof!!!!

please mind your backs folks when dealing with your beasties, this was the last horse i would think would misbehave

no matter how sane they normally are, I've nearly been accidentally run over twice! Once a deer made an unexpected appearance, and then yesterday there was a huuge bang from the road next to the paddock that made everyone gallop off  thank goodness that wasn't the moment I was hoof picking! also unhelpful when grumpy mare decides to tell the gelding off regardless of which of those I'm faffing with at the time  hope you're ok.

Sounds like you were pretty lucky! I have 3 geldings and though they are all very well behaved have learnt to not let them crowd me in the field and always have my eye on the the little one who seems to find it very amusing to start a play fight with the other horses just as I am at my most vulnerable

thanks guys im ok, just leg is sore now!! must admit i got a fright at hiw quickly it happened never knew the big boy was coming until he hit me!!
sounds random too but my boy immediately came back and stood ext to me while his pal chased the other boy away, clever boys

Its crazy how quickly things can happen. I lunged my boy yesterday, and normally he will have a tiny little sideways buck of excitement when we first start, but yesterday I sent him away from me and he did a full blown, head high, both feet buck and fart about 6 inches in front of my face! Glad I wear my helmet and will be more careful in future!

Hope you are OK OP and not injured?
