We have one that is approaching 2yo. Maybe I should be getting worried... Most of the taller ones seem to be TBs. Mind you, several are one there because they bite or kick the stable door. I like the ones that are photographed half a mile away across a field, because that is the nearest the owner can get!
I like welshies, although prefer the little C. Section D do make good alrounders and can go up to 16.2hh. They have lots of bone too! and are quite hardy! What type are you looking for?
I looked on there earlier and noticed that too although i didn't really read the ads. The ones i did read though there was nothing really wrong with the horses!!!
I had a sec D as my 1st horse though and we hated each other with a passion!! We were both as stubborn as each other ha ha

I wonder whether it's because people buy them thinking they'll be a nice little Welsh pony? I don't know, mind you the ones I have known have been quite fiesty! LOL!
I show Welsh ponies from Sec As - thru to D's at Hoys/Rihs level .
Sec D's are a fantastic breed but like any horse if not properly handled and educated problems will arise.
One Sec D I had BE evented and BSJAd up to Foxhunter level I actually find Sec Cs more of a handful - have 3 in at the mo and they are little power houses with the strength of a Sec D in a small Body...Grat Fun though
My pony is on there- she isnt really a problem, she just needs a confident rider/ handler. I did have her advertised on all the normal sites but all the calls were from novices and timewasters.
I figured people looking on Project Horses are capable horsemen/ women and not novices!
I saw her on there and recognised her straight away
I worry with project horses though that you get a lot of novices on there looking for cheap horses. I got quite a few when i advertised my horse on there!!
QR.
Ive always been amazed by the asking prices on there too. What makes them more shocking is that the wanted adverts are all wanting to pay nothing/minimal amounts.
Might put my little chestnut on there - he should be snapped up at £1500!
I'm a sucker for projects and I often used to find myself browsing through projecthorses.
I agree about the prices for some of them. When PH first got up and running there were a lot of 'free to good home' problem horses whereas now it seems some people just use it for free advertising.
What an interesting site - tho there seem to be some deluded folks out there, some of the prices are insane, with some of those issues I would be looking for them to pay me! There was one nice sounding chap, vice is he won't be caught - I could live with that! One of ours had the same problem, I got good at eating crisps in the field
There are some really really odd photos on there, really not the 'selling my horse' kind, more 'look at this odd thing my horse does' - like the one over the stable door - giraffe anyone? I am sure he is lovely, but that photo is really not good!
There is also someone on there I know from a former life... let's just say if she is now a private owner I would be astonished.
Just wanted to say that I've probably overpriced Ty a bit on horsemart/project horses but I do think it stops the people that just want to buy a cheap horse (not that this is a bad thing but just from past experience)
Saying that if I get no phonecalls I'll reduce him but getting quite a few from horsemart already.

I agree BH.
To be honest, I could quite easily pick up a horse with half the problems, at half the price.
