Just being nosey really!

OK, well I don't have any good pictures of the outside but our stables are made of an open sided barn, divided up with ply-covered gates:
inside - I've put up 'curtains' to stop neighbours from invading my horse's stable. Not very stylish, but they do the job

We have galebreaker blinds which pull down over the front gates to keep the weather out when it is wet and windy.

You can just about see the outside in this pic (excuse grumpy cow-horse)

Hope that helps

I really like our stables as they are so airy and bright. The back half (under the shavings) has a dirt floor which is great because the pee drains away.
The only downside is that the doors are the full width of the stable so if they catch the wind it's a pain. If I was redesigning them I'd prob stick to the same idea but put normal width doors somehow (full width is good if you need to get a tractor in though).

No problem. It is lovely to have such open stables, it makes normal ones seem really dark and pokey. The gates are really useful - the only thing is you need to put tie rings etc on the main posts, particularly if you use haynets. We tried having rings on the gates but they banged when the horses pulled hay from the nets which was really irritating.

We have taken a gate out to stable 2 youngsters in together before, it's good to have the versatility.

The galebreakers on the front are brilliant, they keep the wind and rain out and are essential in the winter as our yard is really exposed (hence the comment about the doors blowing!)
