Just bought the Weatherbeeta belmont combo.....

My Weatherbeetas have always had normal straps (and I have a full wardrobe of them!)... but then again my horse could be described as elephant-sized

I think they are a bit generous TBH. Do they not fit when you do them up really tight?

Ah, I have the same problem with Amigo Rugs, except that I have to put the straps at the max, and yet my boy is not obviously built like a tank, in fact I think he's quite fine for a new forest pony. (Weatherbeeta straps are fine on him)

The weatherbeeta landa, orican, the gusset 300 stable rug and fleece are all fine just this new one is awful. Love the rug but even on the tightest settings the straps are far too loose.

Oh gawd!! I have just got one for my cob I tried it on for length and did it up round the chest but I never even considered the straps might not fit. I'll try mine again tomorrow and let you know

I have this rug and it fits my TB fine...did buy it about 2 1/2 years ago mind...perhaps like human clothes seem to be getting bigger and bigger maybe horses also are getting more obese!!

It's a shame as I really like the rug but I am sending it back today, which means I have the task of finding another full neck stable rug that I like!

I have the same problem - put my belmont on last night and even on the tightest they're in loops under Ronnie. Think I'll have to take needle and thread down tonight, unless anyone has better suggestions...

ive got the standard belmont and have the same problem!!!
i use it over a duvet when it gets really cold and with the straps on the tighest setting makes them just about right!!
seeing as my pony isnt exactly thin or narrow (barrell type XXW saddle size LOL!!) god knows how it would fit the hat rack types!!

And not just that, now he's been wearing it a week and it's de-fluffed a bit (if you know what I mean - settled), it's way too big all over, far too long. All his other rugs are 6'3" and fit fine, this one just seems enormous!! Wish I'd got a 6".

I did notice it was big when we tried it on. We got a size smaller than normal as daft horse is an "in between" size and we thought we'd go smaller as it was an all in one type!
