My little shetland has been struggling with laminitis on and off for 5 months now and after Cushings and EMS tests and Imprint shoes, he was at long last getting better. This morning he is on 3 legs and can't put any weight on his off fore. There is no particular heat in the foot and no digital pulse. Poor little chap - can't think what on earth he has done now, as he hasn't even been out. Am waiting for the vet to come.
To add to it all, the big horse who has had a horrendous foot abscess which was at last getting better, was horribly lame again yesterday morning. Farrier came and found the abscess had sealed it self and run under the sole of his foot. Back to pouliticing once again.
Feel like giving up at the moment.

Poor horses! So frustrating when you think you are getting somewhere & find that you are back to square one. My dressage horse had a foot abscess that kept coming back everytime we thought we had cleared it for 6 months :worried: so I know how miserable it is for you. Hope little shetland is ok!

I realy feel for you!
I am sitting here trying to take my mind off things...
I have one pony with an abscess which I have been poulticing all week, he should be much better by now, but could hardly move at all this morning, so the vet will have to come back and have a dig about.
Vet is coming anyway this afternoon because my lovely old cob has got to be pts, I am getting through so many tissues this morning through sadness and frustration!

Hope things pick up for you soon.
