Just come across this horse :O

They train them to do it for the show ring, well I know they do with Arabs, then its got its head pulled in with the bridle.
 
Eeeesh .... the side reins being way too short as well as that gag type bit in its mouth at a guess for its neck posture? lol. As for the really weird stance it looks like he's just been for a wee !

His feet look longer.

My old boy stands with a front leg out in turn.
He has lots if issues and is trying ti get comfortable.

There is a breed that stand with their back legs out, can't remember which one!
As for that stallion, I don't know!
 
Poor horse. That looks horrible and totally un-natural. I guess it is 'fashion/show' horse and as other have said, trained to stand like that. To me a horse standing like that of it's own accord screams laminitis!! It is also very out of proportion, massive head for body!!
 
Normally if they're trained to stand like that, all the weight is on the front and they look like they're stretching the back end out. That looks like all the weight is on the back and it's stretching the front, wouldn't say it was a normal show stance, looks more like it's doing it out of discomfort?

My Welsh D naturally stands with her back legs quite out behind her, but her fronts underneath - doesnt look odd like this poor horse!!
 
Looking at its muscled neck I would guess it has been worked that way. Sorry but so un-natural to me :( Surprised it has not got back/neck issues to be honest!

That's exactly what I was thinking, looks in some sort of pain.. But then again I have no experience of the breed so wouldn't know if that's what they are trained to do in the show ring
 
My foal who was born just over 2 weeks ago had been sleeping. When she got up she gave a big stretch and this is the result.

She was less than 12 hours old when this photo was taken!:D

Very similar stance to the horse in the ad and totally natural. I certainly hadn't used side reins to get her in this position! :D Bless her!
 
Not nice, so un-natural! I know the typical show stance, with back legs stretched out is not normally a natural look, but it looks a lot more comfortable for the horse, than that bizarre look? I actually had to look closer, as it looks like one of those really expensive wooden rocking horses!!
Also, his eye looks strange, or is that just me?
 
Those front feet are not good. That stance makes it look as though it has no topline and tbh a poor example of its breed.
 
Looks to me like he is trying to evade the contact of those side reins. Can't blame him, as they are super tight and look to be leather so no give in them!

Balls off, trim his feet and there might be a sweet horse in there.
 
If he was trained in Spain he may have been in a serreta but I can't see any scaring on his nose. My friend has 2 andalucians and they certainly don't stand like that. Agree that his feet look shocking.
 
His feet look fine. It's the angle. Long toes do not make horses stand like that.

It's been trained to do that. Despite showing Andalusians does not require such a posture. Andalusians are very naturally lithe and bendy and can do such poses without any harm. It looks as if it is planning to bow in the first picture.

I think the seller is trying to appeal to a particular buyer... I am a fan of the breed and can see past the pose but it wouldn't sell him to me. I like to see them in movement shots or stood naturally as Andalusians should.

It is not a usual stance though.

I use to own a 'portugeuse cruzado' andalusian and spanish barb breeding, which I bought from Portugal, he had very upright boxy feet, very sure footed and was able to do a feet forward like that to allow you to get on, its called a 'campo' a french friend told me that is how they are trained out there especially if the horses are tall.
Other iberian horses may have similar feet and campo training. His toes look long but if you try to drastically change them you will do no end of damage, my boy was ten and my english farrier tried to change his feet angle and made him totally lame. Had to change to a farrier that was sympathetic to the style/shape of feet to make him sound again.
He is a lovely looking horse!
 
Cant see anything wrong with this horse.
Hes lovely....not perfect mind, but who is.
He might be easily trainable horse who stands in these poses easily.
