Ok....so I have just entered my little cobblet for a dressage test at the weekend. It'll be our first dressage comp, we're doing Prelim 10. I'm not expecting to do overly well, she's quite stiff and can go on the forehand and I haven't had a lesson for years! I'm hoping it'll give us a taste of dressage and some experience though. Can anyone give me some advice/tips on how I can do our best on the test? :D

Ride as accurately as possibe. Do lots of transitions in your warm up to get her listening to you and as in front of your leg as possible.

Try and get a big stretch down in your free walk as this is the movement you can score double for. (Stroke her neck on the side the judge can't see- it encourages them to stretch down)

Smile and enjoy :)
