:D.......... its normal for it to last 3 secs and now have a dog barking at the other one sat on the side right? :D

The same dog who would not TOUCH raw 2 weeks ago, but has been having raw mince for the last few days!!

OK raw to go- order here I come :D

Chicken nommed. Me thinks Dex would like a turkey drumstick!!

Carcass' on order- as local butchers seem to be inundated with folk who feed raw annoyingly!

i am totally confused what are you not allowed to feed thought it was chicken as it splinters? has my dog been missing out all these years?

Check out the RAW stickied thread - it will explain it all.:) raw chicken bones are fine - when they are used to raw food it is COOKED bones chicken or otherwise that can splinter and do the damage:)

Do the Dog Food Company deliver near you? They are the cheapest from what I gather.http://www.thedogfoodcompany.co.uk/products.html

Chicken necks are a fab snack size.

Raw chicken is fine, just old the bones til the dog gets the idea to chew, not inhale! Cooked is dodgy, I would never give that.

Ibot, it is cooked bones that do damage, raw chicken bones are very soft and malleable. There's a feeding raw sticky at the top of the board if you have any questions :)

ETA - Damn, should have refreshed before I posted that :p

I've one who inhales drumsticks too....hilarious to watch the face after. The amateur actress appears "ummm i haven't been fed yet...see... i see no food here...feed me pleewsee"

raw bone is fine, a birds fragile bones only splinter after they have been weakened by heat:D

Just my lurcher then who is completely disgusted by chicken wings, drumsticks etc...
He likes mince, lamb and tripe but carries the chicken in his very front teeth - just in case it touches the inside of his mouth PMSL - takes it off down the garden and then comes back to see if theres anything better on offer!
if not he sighs and wanders off to face the chicken - he makes hard work of it though! Rofl

You've made me laugh because this is just what my lurcher does! She really isn't keen on chicken drumsticks or wings and she tries to bury them (but only uses her nose!) either in her bed or in the garden. She loves lamb ribs to have a good chew on and our butcher is generous with the amount of fat and beef left. i did manage to get some bargain shin beef and she made short work of that!

I have left mine on kibble, i wasted so much trying to persuade her she would like raw, and her refusing to believe me that it was just too expensive. And she is very fit healthy and sane on Barking Heads so decided to carry on with that.

I feed my ESS Barking Heads, she likes the Tender Loving Care one bless

I wanted her to like Fish for Dogs but she won't eat it, she likes the salmon mousse

Rocky had his first chicken drumsticks yesterday and absolutely loved them.

He will be starting on Natural Instincts in the next few days (once he has eaten the last of his tinned food).

Biccie I have just started on Natural Instinct, keep me posted!
Using the working turkey mix as a Kong stuffing and lamb necks/spines as chewables/time consumers!

How sad is it that I am excited by this and can't wait for him to change onto his new diet. :o Note to self: must get out more! :D

He's got lamb necks to chew on when he comes to the yard to keep him occupied (dogs must stay on leads! :() and my freezer is now full of dog food.

Luckily we've found a mobile pet food supplier about 5mins from us that allow you to pop in and collect and it stocks Natural Instinct so we'll even be saving on the P&P.
