Just finished reading "JUMP"

Well I didn't really enjoy it!! I thought it was better than wicked which was good, but it wasn't up to Riders, Rivals and Polo and I suppose being such a huge fan of those books, nothing but the best can compare to those!
I didn't really like any of the characters which doesn't help as you don't root for anyone or connect with the book.

I dont think anything could beat Riders but thought it was miles better than Appasionata (if i have remembered the name right!!)

And i got quite close to a few of the characters!! :)

And i WANT Wilkie and Chisolm to come and live with me, they are real you know!!:)

I finished it a couple of weeks ago - REALLY got into it, as found I intensely disliked a lot of characters (Martin and Romy, aargh!) and wanted to read them getting their commupance!

I also cried from v. shortly after the Grand National (you know what I mean if you've read it that far :( )

I don't think any of Jilly Coopers books will compare to Polo or Rivals for me.

Riders i think is the best so far but loved these 2 also:)

What books this? Sounds like my kind of read :-)

Jump by Jilly Cooper, its v good!

I started just before, with u know who being ill!!!

Thanks Allover - just looked it up and ordered it from Amazon :-)

My two absolute faves are Riders and Polo - liked Rivals and the others are ok but those are my top two.

I'm going on holiday Sunday and I have bought it to read on the beach, I better finish it before flight home as don't want to be sitting on plane blubbering !!

oh i loved it my fella got rather annoyed on holiday and i seemed to ignor him for about 3 days untill i finnished it i love all of jilly coopers books but i have to say my favs are
riders
polo
jump
wicked

the others are all on level pegging after that although which one was it that ranaldinni died

Anyway, I love them all, but yes, riders, rivals and polo top my list :) Such a shame Mr Campbell Black has to get old, I'd never tire of stories with him *yum*

Maybe Jilly should start again with what's his face, Ruperts grandson (was it Edward?) bet he'd be a rogue :)

I've never read a Jilly Cooper, I always thought they were Mill's and Boon-ish?

I was going to post on here as well asking for some horsey fiction recommendations.

Either that or the next one... head is a bit of a seive tonight!

I think I may be having a day off tomorrow with the way today's nerve block and epidural has gone! So may get to finish it :D

Sounds like fun!!!:)

It could have been Score, that will teach me for not paying attention!

Oh no! Theres much more to them than millsand Boon! They are chic lit with a horsey twist, and great fun. They're never going to be great literary classics, but everyone horsey should read them. Try Riders, and then decide...x
