Just for fun. Got two different horses, would be useful to have them on the same feeds.

Horse 1: warmblood. Fairly good doer. However does need diet higher in protein to keep topline on. Currently on pony nuts, Myoplast, and a herbal calmer as can get silly/stressy at dressage comps. Have tried several calmers, none of which appear to make any difference. In light to medium work. Won't eat fibre feeds readily.

Horse 2: thoroughbred. Needs to put weight and topline on, is currently in light work. Currently on topspec cool balancer, ulsakind cubes, limestone flour and powerstance (powered coconut oil). Possibly ulcery, and in light work.

Both are sensitive to barley and molasses etc. Any suggestions welcome!

Most of mine are thoroughbreds but I also have an Irish Draught so kind of consider them similar to yours.

Mine are fed readigrass (as sensitive to alfalfa), micronised linseed, grass nuts and whole soaked oats. They have the progressive earth pro hoof, some salt if they're not keen on the licks provided and magnesium. All are looking spiffing presently. The best thing about it though is that it's not too damaging on my pockets.

I will say that, like your Warmblood, my ID wasn't too keen on the change to fibre based foods after a lifetime of sugary goodness but he now eats it OK and it really has transformed him.

Oh and they all have ad lib haylage.

Second Wimbles...

I've got a very good doing connie x in light work (work increasing as he gets fitter), TB ex-racer who needs fed for condition and QH youngster that's growing; all fed varying amounts of same diet:

Graze on chop
soaked grass nuts
copra/coolstance
micronised linseed
Salt (lo salt and "normal" salt)
They normally get Pro Balance but are on Forage Plus Winter Balancer for now due to time of year

Adlib haylage at night when in and adlib hay in the field during the day.

I've got five, four of which are good doers.

They all have Primero Total.
1 has a cup of Baileys Outshine added for condition.
(If I want to add bulk, they all have D & H Safe and Sound)

Out 24/7 ad lib hay/haylage

My suggestions would be for feeds available where I live, so prob no good for you :) but Kentucky Equine Research have a wicked website full of information and feeding ideas for horses. I went to a nutrition seminar run by them on Wed and found it to be super informative. They have a newsletter that you can sign up for too.
But you can't go wrong with a lot of hay and build from that.

Ad lib hay/haylage. Chaff, micronised linseed and speedibeet. Vit and min supplement. They don't need anything else in my opinion, but you could feed Baileys Outshine (in addition to what's listed above) to the TB who needs to put weight on.

my horse has adlib haylage and alfabeet -hes ulcer prone and refuses to eat chaff of any kind .i soak the alfabeet overnight in a large tubtrug and he has kept his weight on lovely ,i adjust the amount he has but generally its 4 -6 stubbs scoops split across the day .you could ad linseed and vits but i dont .i keep it simple and hes 23 and a bit of a nutty anglo arab ,but now hes doing great ,i cant give him cubes as he gets a grumbly gut but he did have top spec ulsakind cubes when he was being treated for egus as he needed a lot of condition back but they are too conditioning to stay on a long time and i would rather keep it simple .
