Question - The worst part of mucking out is;

A) Get hay/bedding in my hair!
B) Get hay/bedding down my front :eek:
C) I get smelly!!
D) I hate emptying the wheelbarrow
E) Getting the muckheap levelled and neat
F) Taking home half of the dirt in my car/house.
G) Get 'water bucket elbows' from carrying all the buckets!!
H) Get vertigo from climbing the stack to get new hay/bedding down
I) Sweeping up


Y) None of the above because my horses live out
Z) Something else that has been missed - explain!!

My personal order would be
D, G, E, B, F, H, I, C, A

mine would have to be when i have mucked out i leave the wheelbarrow and then my horse decides to push it over ! cant stand it i have to clean it all up all over again ! bad horsey! :)

Before that C,Dand E were my bugbears. particularly fingernails where the smell seems to linger more and the many times the wheelbarrow would go into an uncontrolable dive on the way to the muck heap,spewing its usually overstuffed contents across the yard.
 
The only one I really hate is D, though C isn't great either ;)
I hate emptying them because the muckheap is MILES away from our stables, and includes a hill - not fun!
 
The only thing I'm not keen on is the pee smell!
I always change my wellies/shoes so don't tend to get much mess in the car.

I don't get bedding or hay in my hair or down my top, how do you manage it?!
We don't have to level the muck heap, we are on a farm and just drop in down the dip and the tractor pushes it up.
Haylage on the floor round the corner, as is shavings pallets.

D all the way, have to push the wheelbarrow up hill for about 200 metres! :(

Don't have a problem with any of the others, I actually love mucking out!

I hate it when its windy, no matter how much you sweep up the yard looks a tip!
 
C, when you get home and everyone says you smell of wee you protest and then go for a shower , turn it on and the heat and damp make you realise you do smell of wee !!!
 
I can't be bothered to re jiggle them ... so have added comments ...........

A) Get hay/bedding in my hair! - no it's in my boots and car
B) Get hay/bedding down my front - nope it's all in my boots and car
C) I get smelly!! - goes with the 'job'
D) I hate emptying the wheelbarrow - I hate wheeling them 1/2 mile to the muck heap ... this is my WORST job
E) Getting the muckheap levelled and neat - the leveling is ok, it's the humping it up to the top that does me in!!
F) Taking home half of the dirt in my car/house. - this is the one that does me in! .... it goes everywhere :o
G) Get 'water bucket elbows' from carrying all the buckets!! - auto waterers in the field and in the stables are the best :)
H) Get vertigo from climbing the stack to get new hay/bedding down - ha ha ha ... no issue here, I enjoy the challenge
I) Sweeping up - horrid job!
