My mare does that huge fly leap thing out hunting so now I'll just think of Milton and smile rather than curse her, so thanks for that!

God I've got such a lump in my throat now...imagine what would have happened to a horse like that if he'd fallen into the wrong hands? I guess that's what you call destiny...thank goodness.

One of the best horses in the world i wish he was around now

he had so much character and i was very lucky to see him alot at home. Very sad day when he died john rushed back from overseas to be with him.

A true star - and yes, he really knew he was a star and he seemed to love it!
He sparked my love of grey horses.
A legend.

I have only watched the first video, and I am going to root out my videos of Milton 2moro and watch them, what a legend.

John Whittaker is not a man of many words, or emotions at that, but I really do think he loved that horse, they were perfect together, and there is a clip on that first vid of them going from a humungous spread to a massive treble to win a big class which showed how amazing they were together.

RIP, the legeend that was, and still is, Milton

I saw him after he retired when he was on the Geoff Billington/John Whitaker tour. What an absolute star, he knew how special he was and he did a display much like the beginning of the first video . . . I cried and cried . . . . it was a privilege just to see him

I remember the milton posters, I always wanted a big white horse like Milton

It's so refreshing to see showjumpers in fulmer and martingale with total control of their horse. Plus he's wearing a white girth, now that is old skool! I wonder how the horse's managed back then without stud guards

Ahh the horse & john where ledgends together!! I remember my mum and sisters going to oymplia one year and i think milton was there, retired but there for you to meet him.. anyways!! my mum came home with a milton bed cover set and matching pillow case and then over the years i collected his videos and all the posters..

It must of been last year mum gave the bedset to my niece, i had put it away for safe keeping.. looking back i now laugh, but that day i dont think i could of been more upset or even so protective over something i havent used in over 10years ... ahh the things we do when we admire something!!

that horse had the best grounding he could have ever wished for with Caroline Bradley (RIP)

He truely was a star...and so was She.

That sent tingles down my spine. I remember seeing Milton on the Simply the Best tour, love he way he used to do his Spanish Riding School bit during laps of honour. Glad Caroline Bradley was mentioned as well, I think sometimes people forget her connection with Milton.

Milton was a legend but it makes me feel sooo old as i competed against him with my own horse when i was 16 in foxhunter and Grade C classes and he was still with Caroline.
Both just awesome and Caroline was my hero back then ,its such a shame she died so young as just such a talent.
Happy days
