Just got double barrelled by my mare, ouch

It would be nice to take it easy!! Have my in laws here so should be help, however also have my husbands aunt so feel bad we can't do much for her weeks holiday. On top of them I have my cousin, his wife and two children coming for lunch!!!!! We live in France so always a popular holiday destination with the family. And the cherry on the cake is my husband is laid up with a bad back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad its nothing too serious. ..but you really do need to try to rest where possible.
I came off my friends bratty cob stallion about 2 years ago and he stood on me...I thought I was just a bit sore and got back on to sort him out. Everyone moaned at me to go to hospital which I conceded to do late that night only to discover I Had Actually cracked my shoulder blade!!!!

Sooo glad you are ok OP. The best thing is, when you are told nothing is broken and no dangerous injuries, you can relax a little bit and I found that actually helped with the discomfort.

Rest up, take it easy...agree with poster about lunch. Just send the in laws out to stock up on bread, cheese, charcuterie meats and wine...keep it simple, that's what holidays are about and you know what...if they want to go and wander, they can do so without you.

As for the horse, it's natural to feel cautious...don't worry though, it won't last long and you'll never make that mistake again xx
