I am feeling really happy and pleased with myself after going to ride my neighbour's mare that I look after for her when she's away, she is 24yr old tb and in season and yet she has a really sweet nature to her, so I went up tried her in the school 1st as I haven't really ridden a horse properly for almost 2 yrs now and she was testing me a little in there and trying to grab at the bit bless her but you know what I enjoyed her loads she made me smile again I felt so safe on her she even had a 'look' at the tarpaulin on the ground outside the arena and phah I seriously didn't worry at all.
(for someone that lost their confidence after a nasty fall)
Then we went for a hack out round the local fields and bridleways and what lovely area it is too this is something I miss.
She was as good as gold and really looked after me the whole way round, she had another 'look' moment but it really is nothing so again making me feel safe to be on her back.
My neighbour walked round with me too bless her

Just feel so happy to have been back on a horse and gone out for a hack in the wind and it was spitting (the weather was like this when I had my accident, so took guts for me to get on with it) but the mare really made me feel safe.
Thanks Missy Moo

Pointless post but it has really made my day
