It's nearly midsummer's day, the eves will draw in and it'll soon be winter again, cold dark and depressing - I really think I may give up horses, we wait all winter for summer and it's over in a flash.....and as to the ridiculous, outdated practice of turning the clocks back, don't even get me started..:mad:

I know, I heard this the other day that the longest day is soon upon us, depressing after a very hideous winter!
Anyway, we must enjoy the light while it lasts, it really is the lack of daylight I do not like, do not mind other aspects terribly just the darkness.
And why we change the clocks back and forth is beyond me too really...

That is very depressing. I love the light evenings, its was still light 25 minutes ago when letting the dogs out and wandering out to check the horses.

I love the heat, and summer evenings, worked in the caribbean for 5 years and although you had the heat, we never had the light evenings 6am till 6pm daylight, we are so lucky in the UK, we dont always get the weather we do get the wonderful daylight though.

I can't wait! I hate this heat so much. Roll on winter :)

Where are you? I was just about warm this afternoon for the first time this week!! I don't like the serious heat but I hope to be able to leave my coat at home sometime this summer. Global warming indeed! (yes I know it's called climate change now, I was being funny)

urgh that really is a depressing thought! dark nights, heavy wet rugs, thick mud everywhere, frozen toes after a hack....i hate it!!
