This is me at the moment which made it weirder when they mentioned vinted as I’ve only just started using it but I keep putting random items from the house on too! 🤣

If it is, and one of our fellow HHoer needs funds so is selling things to fetishists, then I'd recommend they use their original name.

I'd be more likely to engage with someone here who is honest about their financial decisions they are having to make, than with someone new.
 
Oh no….ha ha I have just seen this thread is about me!!

I did explain in more detail on the message, about the situation and if you look at my Vinted I have been selling lots of horse related items, as I used to ride also but I was listing my daughters items, when I was asked about other items really random things, but as neither of us ride anymore I did not have anything else to sell, and I had made quite a bit selling anything we could find (times are hard lol)

This is when I thought I would register back on here and just ask if anyone was selling anything at all horsey related that I would buy and sell on, helping everyone out, save it just going in the bin.

I do realise they are buying the items for something maybe not good, I don’t even know what, but I just thought I could make some money.

Oh how creepy .. This reminds me of a very scary phone call I answered when I was a young girl... i wanted to sell.some horsey things to fund new /pony and mum let me pop an ad in the local free ads in the paper..I don't think i was.even anywhere neat a teen and she prob would have done it for me. An older guy phoned, I answered, I was selling jods...you can imagine the questions...have you worn them..have they got a seam? Does it go (you know where) The words sniff press and rub were also used..then he got horribly detailed...I screamed and hung up. I was so scared. There were a few other calls after( over a week or two)..mainly heavy breathing.. I don't think i touched that phone for months and shook when it rang,esp if the curtains werent drawn. I still have a really weird thing about really not wanting a land line and hate unknown calls...tho can merrily chat for hours on mobile... I hope its just an innocent harmless weirdo here or a wind up and nothing more sinister.. and that non of the younger forum members have been frightened..

Flipping heck no I wouldn’t do that. They wanted to buy things from me but wanted them cheaper so they could apparently sell them to ‘the man’. If they completed a sale on vinted I’m not 100% but think they might be able to see your address, does anyone know?

God help anyone who turns up here - we have a Doberman and she’s a trained attack dog and also a rescue. The release command does not work!! 🤣

Last message - they are happy for me to share it as they feel bad for making anyone feel uncomfortable. I think we can put this one to bed guys.

I felt bad that everyone was thinking some weird person was messaging everyone and it was just me, looking to make some money selling basically rubbish!! 🤣 I could not just jump on and explain myself.

It was years ago, I could not find my email address for it, and I would not have known my password.

I won't be asking anyone else, and I will tell tell them I have nothing else to sell.

They say they have made a new account because they can’t remember the password for their old one but they can’t post on the forum with their new account, only pm 🤔

They have made a new account as they can’t remember their old name or anything so I don’t know who they used to be.
 
So whether you ever had a different account before or not, it used to be that a new account can't post in the Club House or send a p.m. until a small number of posts have been made (10 I think). They can however see and post in this thread. So something very odd occurred from a technical point of view.
I see the account in question has now disappeared but I do think @spotty_pony2 should ask admin if the rule on PMs has changed, otherwise we could get a flurry of spam.

This is a very good point. We shouldn't normalise total strangers contacting random people (usually women) about subjects with a sexual undertone. The one I was aware of on fb contacted numerous women, most were more mature, who either blocked him, had a bit of banter or in some cases, said they were prepared to meet his needs due to their financial situation! Everyone was laughing and joking about it as it was so common on some local groups. Then he contacted an underage teenage girl. The parent didn't find it funny at all and collected other evidence he had been randomly contacting women with his requests and went to the police.
