had the vet this morning for solo and reds routine visit.
its the first time red has been vaccinated in 3 years- so we started a new run of vaccinations for him. solo just had his flu and tet booster. they were both really well behaved for that bit.
then he did their teeth. i know not many people on here like vets doing teeth, but our vet is trained and is really good, he took half an hour on solos teeth, and let me feel them after. solo had a little hook on his tooth- apparantly its a typical 13 year old hook and they can get it between 10 and 15.
he's also prescribed me some special shampoo that is antibacterial and antifungal for sols mudfever, that isnt healing.
then he did red. he was SO naughty! he was striking out, barging round and kicking. eventually, he got started. i was really concerned about reds teeth as he hadnt had them done in the 2 years his previous owner had him. surprisingly, they weren't that bad, a little rough in places but not too bad.
the best bit tho was that the visit was shared 7 ways- so instead of a 40 pound call out fee itl be about a fiver for call out!
