I feed hay all year round anyway as much prefer to strip and fence off. Currently feeding as much hay as when they were in as hardly grown as yet

Both good doers so I don't really mind, there's certainly enough for them to pick at, the rested field next door is looking alot greener.
So it's definitley coming through, but just not as quickly/much as usual I think. Not an issue for me personally from a grazing perspective but I can see it's not good for others and it doesn't bode well for this year's hay crop either :-/

Here I've had a total of 1.5mm of rain in March, nothing since. Literally tips growing and that's it.
Even 5 miles away they have had more rain!
Looking over the next 3 weeks there is bog all wet stuff forecasted.

F made full use of that 1.5mm of rain though. No mud in my field but the moment we had a spot of wet did he make the most of it!
