Just had to buy in yet more hay!

I feed hay all year round anyway as much prefer to strip and fence off. Currently feeding as much hay as when they were in as hardly grown as yet

2 hungry ponies here in Surrey.
Both good doers so I don't really mind, there's certainly enough for them to pick at, the rested field next door is looking alot greener.
So it's definitley coming through, but just not as quickly/much as usual I think. Not an issue for me personally from a grazing perspective but I can see it's not good for others and it doesn't bode well for this year's hay crop either :-/

Here I've had a total of 1.5mm of rain in March, nothing since. Literally tips growing and that's it.
Even 5 miles away they have had more rain!
Looking over the next 3 weeks there is bog all wet stuff forecasted.

F made full use of that 1.5mm of rain though. No mud in my field but the moment we had a spot of wet did he make the most of it!
