you know a few weeks ago i was selling the little chestnut show pony for £600. well just been flicking through some classified ads and low and behold theres briget the midget at the marked up price of £2,900 ono (me nearly had a heart attack)
better not let the oh find out otherwise im dead meat.
but realisticly they did me a favor as she was the last pony left at my old yard which was falling to pieces. i couldn't take her to where i keep alfie as the yard was full and the field i managed to rent off a local farmer has my 2 colts in it.
never mind you win some and you lose some.

Shame you couldn't get a little more for her, but like you say if it helped you out of a muddle, everyone's happy. Especially the people who bought her from you.
Hope she finds a nice home.

Dont worry - not as bad as mine

Sold a gelding for £1k and he was sold on within 2 weeks for £6500

OH went mental and TBH still isnt happy with me now!

A similar thing has happened to me, sold mine for $5000 and about a year later saw him advertised for $15000. Damn!

Hide all copies of the ad in your area

got to take my hat off to her i really believed that she was buying it for her daughter to show this summer.
just been telling my sister about it but she didn't really like the pony much as could take the mickey off lead rein but only needed regular work.
it was the pony i rescued last winter. the one i said id buy if she made it through the night after a bad colic attack.
i do hope the next owners keep her a little while though as i didn't really want her passed from pillar to post she quite a lovely little thing mare.

I had the opposite experience.Sold my jumping pony for 17,000euro a few years ago. Resold 8mths later at Cavan for just over 3,000euro!! Funnier still, she had placed in the top 3 in 3 open classes at Cavan HPI in those 8mths(though not with her owner as she couldnt gel with her) plus won the only hunter trial she entered. Though the reason they only jumped her in one was cause she was dangerously fast.
The guy who bought her for 3000euro+ had offered us 10,000euro when I owned her!
