Just how old is this pony?

In the New Forest section of HorseQuest is a "Beautiful New Forest" pony described as an 8 yr NF gelding. The video (May 2012) linked to the ad says he is a 10 yr old x. Goggled him and a 2010 video of him says he is 9 (that would make him 11 now). So just how old is he?
