Hello
I've been reading here for a while. I miss my H&H mag and the UK in general, however since I followed my SO to the USA I have been able to follow my dream since a kid and ride for a living.
I always showjumped and thought that I would pursue it here, however they have this weird sport here called Hunters, where those with the most money and well connected trainer wins, and unfortunately they are run with the Jumper shows. The people tend to be a bit snooty, and I just didn't fit in. So I tried eventing, and after 20 years of riding I have no idea why I didn't do it sooner, myself and my dutch warmblood who I brought here with me, have just had the most fun this season. We started in Training which I think is the equvilent to Pre-Novice, (next year we are going Prelim). We did so well that we qualified for the American Eventing Champs, which was last weekend, it was brilliant fun, and Leslie Law won my division.
So I just wanted to say Hi, and that reading all your stories makes me feel less homesick.
