Well, a bit about me...I'm a (ahem!)mature-ish rider, but pretty new to it all. I've been riding for only a few months (aaaah!) after too many years dedicated to work and family (not that I begrudge the latter!) so I decided to do something I've ALWAYS wanted to do... riding lessons! And boy! Am I hooked!! It ticks all the boxes for me...fresh air, exercise, sociable sometimes and solitary at others, challenging, and it's so rewarding getting to know horses' characters...I could go on! My children used to ride when they were younger, and I enjoyed being around it all, but couldn't afford for me to join in at the time

I don't own a horse, but my partner's daughter has a gorgeous shetland whom I love to bits. She's been my horsey 'fix' for the last couple of years... However, I'm hoping to help out a local lady with her horse whom I'll be meeting this week, so fingers crossed! it'll give me the opportunity to move my riding along (which I've been DESPERATE for - there's only so much you can achieve riding twice a week for half an hour at a time!) and get some proper horse care experience. So, that's me. I'm a newbie enjoying a newfound obsession!! I look forward to chatting to you all.
