Today my clippers gave up the ghost 1/4 of the way through reclipping the Hoss - have now got to wait 7 days for repairs to be done, with a strangely assymmetric semi-hairy beast!

Oh dear! Everytime i clip i dread that happening. I have had it happen before - it's not funny! Lol. Clipped mine today too so it'd better not snow heavily again!!

I'm glad you agree it's not funny - some people have found it very funny indeed and I thought I was having a sense of humour failure!

Oh well, the Hoss'll be riding out with an exercise sheet on til they come pack from the repairers! It's only the cows that will see us at the time of day we ride anyway!

dont you have them serviced and PAT tested annually?

Serviced every 2 years - they only clip one horse once (possibly twice) a year.

Think I covered mine with an exercise sheet if out hacking too - it's most embarrassing!! Lol

PAT tested .... crikey I've never even had mine serviced in 20 years of owning them! Just something I have never got round to... perhaps I should think about that one!

This is something that I have always dreaded - I clipped my girl out yesterday (hunter) and was more concerned that SHE wouldn't let me finish as she is rather green but yes - those clippers really do need a bit of tlc - god bless Hauptners!!

I didnt know you had to get them serviced!
Had no intention of having them pat tested either lol

I thought PAT testing was a commercial requirement?
