just on my lunch, what does everyone work at?

IT project manager. I work from home most of the time which means I can ride early mornings and sit at home in jods smelling of horses all day. Also easy to pop to yard for farrier/vet/dentist when necessary. Works well for me and pays pretty well too :)

ditto and the smelling of horse all day. I sit here in jods :D

Supermarket home shopper. Thought it would be easier than being a cook and the hours, %am till 1, would mean all afternoon to do things. In fact, it is probably the most physically demanding job I have had. (and I worked with horses for 20 years!) and the afternoons tend to be recovery time.

Hey ho, never mind, it is a job, and I am thankful for that. Will be giving it up this year to work for myself.

Employer Services Consultant in a Welfare to Work company, I mainly generate new business and branch marketing. I enjoy the job, get to meet new people at networking events and can work from home a lot too.

Marketing analyst - I agree, numbers ARE fun! Work from home 2 days a week which is lovely, but still don't see the horses as they are too far away. But at least I am here in front of the fire with the dogs on my feet.

Farmers wife and now full time mother. Which, despite what people say, is NOT a real job - it's a piece of cake! :D :D

Before this I was a freelance rider and instructor and bought and sold horses. Now THAT was a good job!

Teacher, locked myself in my room today for peace and quiet whilst I put some data onto the system! Usually I work through it, if i don't want students coming and knocking on the door, I'll go eat in the staff room.

Primary teacher in an independent girl's school.

Like the job and the girls, hate the politics, testing and ridiculous, increasing demands put upon us. But LOVE the holidays (haha!) when I can spend the days at the yard :D

Secondary history teacher. Beat job in the world! Exhausting but worth it! :-)

Me too! (well nearly - half way through my GTP)

Love it, but yes - exhausting. I taught 4/5 lessons today (one was observed) and then had parents evening 3-6, and now I have to plan my lessons for tomorrow. At least its never boring, I had to teach puberty to year 7 in PSHE today - it was hilarious!

I'm self-employed. During the summer I work as a coachman, and in the winter I do mucking out. I break horses to harness and I run my own carriage company.

I did have a sensible office job in purchasing/procurement. But had enough of office politics...

Guess which I'm happier doing.

As people run away screaming I will quietly say health, safety and well being for local authority. OH is a farmer so get to spend time helping too. Would love to have a half office job and half outside on the farm with cows sheep and ponies though

Currently part-time groom on a private livery yard. Start new job in Payments at the end of the month.

I also worked at Ann Summers over Christmas....that was an experience ;)
