just on my lunch, what does everyone work at?

also work part time as an accountant and admin for a small company.. which is okay, pays well but the owner of the buisness is incredibly unorganised so i often walk in to find several 2ft high mounds of recipts that i then have to put in to a-z order and date order and then file them all in on the computer while putting them into catagories... keeps me busy :o

How did you get work in admin, if you don't mind me asking? Sounds like something I'd be good at! Did you have qualifications/prior experience?

I work in the warehouse of a food distribution company. Love my job, although it is a little bit trying this week.:p

They have rung me about 5 times this week! hehe ;)

I work for an IT company, I am a Government account exec/receptionist/PA to the CEO. Whatever my company want me to do that day! lol

Journalist/copywriter/PR&Marketing person - all in the animal health sector. I adore my job, and I love that my office is attached to the tackroom of the yard where my horse lives, so I get whickered at every time I walk out of the door.

Graphic Designer. Its one of those jobs where I don't go to work, I go to play with bits of paper and computers for eight hours then come home and do the same for another eight hours, sleep a bit then back out to do it all again! I've just started a new job which I thought would be awful but apart from the killer commute it's actually pretty good - weve got some big, sexy clients and marketing managers who "don't do design" (which equals lots and lots of creative freedom funtime for us)

Maths teacher currently working for a company developing an iPad-based maths teaching app. Absolutely amazing job that I am SO, SO lucky to have. I get to still be within education, still making a difference, still able to flex my creative teaching muscle but without all the crap that comes with teaching these days.

I'm a medical compliance officer. I spend a lot of time on the phone threatening people who are slack providing me with CRBs/training/medical records. I love it though, always busy, always something new to think about - the many ways Hepatitis B can be recorded continues to blow my mind!
Coming to the end of a 4 month trial and at the end of this month will hopefully be made permanent - then to have The Talk with the OH about how I'm now in a position to afford my first horse!

I'm a scientist. I look after a fermentation pilot plant and a downstream processing pilot plant. I love it, great variety, but very busy!

i'm a sexual health commissioner - my job to make sure my area has adequate sexual health services provision - contraception, GUM, abortion, responding to sexual violence and health promotion services to meet the needs of the population. Im very busy

Food technology teacher in a school in inner city Birmingham. Love teaching but find all the hassle and paperwork annoying! Also very stressful!

Me too! (well nearly - half way through my GTP)

Love it, but yes - exhausting. I taught 4/5 lessons today (one was observed) and then had parents evening 3-6, and now I have to plan my lessons for tomorrow. At least its never boring, I had to teach puberty to year 7 in PSHE today - it was hilarious!

Your lucky I had year 10 as a NQT for 'talk' ...... I felt rather underprepared...... Self knowledge ok, teaching it...hmmmm

NHS Community Staff Nurse, enjoy my job & have some lovely patients that i've known for years...one old lady today who regularly has a couple of letters for me to take & post (really don't mind that) but today when I was on a half day & wanted to get on with things she said to me 'will you post this letter by hand' fine, then she said I don't know the house number but it's round the corner, down the lane, by the bus-stop...eeek :)
