Ok i broke up for half term today, wether was as i like to call 'perfect riding weather' its was overly hot nor too cold wasnt wet but the sand school wasnt dry because of the rain the previous day, so i was going to the bus thinking brilliant ill go down to the yard and have a really nice ride only to get home look at my phone finding a text from my mum 'Had a call from YO, Jets damaged back shoe and very tender on it' OH MY GOD is what first came through my mind, he had only just had new shoes! so when i got to the yard and saw his show it had nails sticking out of it, the entire show had just slipped back and there were bent nails on the bottom, to cut a long story short (mainly me waiting for the farrier) he took his shoe off and revealed 2 holes, 3-4 days of not riding!! flamin shoes. so what i thought was going to be a great relaxing evening turned into a bit of a nightmare. sorry for the pointless post but im just feeling a bit 'why me' even tho im sure it happens to everyone at some point!



BUT DAISY WAS AMAZING AND HELPED ME ALL TH WAY THROUGH!!

Good thing im great at poulticing and was hangin around for u really or u wld hav been stuffed! See u 2moro mornin, bet u didnt kno i was on these forums Hehe xx
P.S, guessin the bay horse is prince, he is really cute!!
 
Hahaha its ok, gave me something to do other than sit in my room on my own sulking cause i cant go out (cant afford to at the moment what with having to pay the livery bill etc etc etc!). See you later

I sympathsise! Totally! Last winter I was bringing my bay, Sammi, in to ride, picked out his feet to find.... a great big dirty screw stuck in his sole, angled into his frog!!! God knows where he picked it up from, our Farmer is proper OCD about clean tidy fields (if such a thing in horses lol)!!! Farrier... poultice... box rest... the joys of horses xx
