Well I just sent £145 on 50 bags of wood pellet. I hope they are good. But now shavings are £7.50 a bag - I just cant afford that sort of money!!

Fingers crossed that they are good

Yes, ive recently swapped from shavings to wood pelletts. Shavings are way too expensive. Mine is on good thick rubber mats, so i just put a few scoops of pelletts down, water them with a watering can, and bobs yer uncle. they are VERY absorbent so exellent for use with mats. His stable is much much drier now. I wish i'd changed to pelletts ages ago now.

my friend just started using them, i thought they look a bit weird till she went away for a few days and i mucked out for her- they are amazing, 3x stables on one wheelbarrow, all done in 15mins, very impressed! only downside thought they could be a bit dusty when they did dry out

yes i use woody pet which is pellets you water into bedding. i have a very wet horse and i just mix my pellets in with the wee and its fab. i get bedding out of my horses wee. very money saving. and there is no waste of bedding either as the bedding falls straight through. u just get a barrow of pooh!! fab

do you use this stuff to make a full bed or is it just really for a part bed with rubber matting? could you mix it with shavings or would you have to empty the shavings and start afresh?
