Before anyone hits a report button and gets their knickers in a twist hes on HH online :D

So sad to be selling him but i really have too many horses and he deserves someone better than me who has more time for him. Also now have a large unexpected vet bill to cover for my other boy who has OCD ( livery+excess )

So are horses selling in the minute? hes fit and ready to go, ive put him up for 3995. Hes got good breeding and a good record unaff, hes ready to affiliate and has jumped on a ticket i just lack finances to affiliate him.

im really, really sorry to see him go.. makes me so sad.

I think you'll struggle to sell him at that price, youngsters, exracers, ponies, elderly are all selling for cheap or free. I'm sure he will sell but it may take a while!
Sorry you have to go through this! X

I have found your ad and he looks lovely. If he really is that talented and genuine then I'm sure someone will buy him at that price (especially considering where you are in the country ;)) but it may take a little longer.

Some of your pictures are very small though, I would try and find more photos of him that are better quality and maybe add a video too?

Sorry to hear you have to sell him, I'm sure you will find him a lovely home though :)

Sad news :( but he is a lovely boy. If you want me to send an ad round our RC send it over - I do know one member looking, has he got much in way of BS winnings as she wants to SJ mainly?

Am the only one who doesn't find that expensive?

Would expect to pay significantly more (if it's the 9 year old WB gelding?)

You are not the only one, I think he sounds like a bargain if he is everything it says in the ad, you cannot compare this horse to a recently retired racehorse without any education or a free horse with a whole load of issues, most people want a nice uncomplicated horse to enjoy and they should be prepared to pay a sensible price.

thanks guys, and yes i feel he is worth more. he has fantastic scope and would easily jump at fox - nothing wrong with him at all - its just me - i havent had the time or the finances to do him justice.

someones going to get a bargain but i feel home is more important than price.

Sorry to hear you're having to sell :(

I don't know which ad is yours, so cant' comment, but horses are selling atm...I'm in the process of buying one :D (that said, apparently he'd been up for sale since Jan and no one had taken him, which I was surprised by).

well ive just had an offer for the asking price ( but they want me to include tack grr ! ) pending vetting. hes having a second viewing tomorrow so going to siton my hands and see what the 2nd person says.

It's good from the horses welfare perspective and new owners ability to start straight away getting to know them for the tack to go with them IMO....however if it wasn't originally included in the deal you are perfectly entitled to ask for at least some extra £ for it, maybe what you would get if you sold it on.

Thanks - i would rather it go with him because its been fitted by an excellent master saddler just under a year ago and it fits him like a glove. but i paid 750 for it under a year ago so a bit annoying. am thinking about offering it to them for half the price i paid..

we will see what the other lady says when she comes back on saturday. they both suit him and ride him well.

Thats what I did with my mare, asked for tack to be included, they said no, but added saddle bridle and a turnout and stable rug for £300, just to get me going and so we all knew she would have things that fitted. Theres nothing worse than having a new horse getting fresher and fresher while you try and find a saddle!

Hopefully your next viewing will go as well and you can choose!
