sob sob sob

i've just listed my poor darling lorry back on eBay... for those that don't know, i bought a little lorry last month after managing to convince my husband to let me have a little 3.5tonner...

about fifteen seconds after he agreed i could get a lorry, i bought one on ebay... without seeing it etc.

it DIED on the way home, in the middle of the A1... not only was that quite shameful.. but a car pulled up with two young men who said they had 'come to help' but then tried to rob us... luckily my husband is a policeman, and we had a newborn baby with us which scared them off... then the lorry started and we scooted off...

anyway... got the lorry home. and cried for a few days. kicked the lorry every time i walked past it. and refused to even look in it.

my husband fiddled about with the engine, and apparently there was a blockage or something somewhere, so he fixed it. he told me i should drive it off the driveway and down to the stables... i moodily agreed, and drove it down the road to turn around... and i fell in LOVE! it was SOOOOO fun to drive. the driver's seat was bouncy, the engine was noisy... and i couldn't see out of my wingmirrors properly... but woohoo! it was sooo fun!

feeling all revived... i went to load raff in it... and the little fat-head-rat-bag wouldn't load into it, as it's quite small and he likes bigger lorries. he's an ungrateful little monkey.

so, now my husband has agreed we can get a bigger one and we'll do our little test etc. humpf. i guess it's a good thing, and that i should be grateful i'm even getting a lorry. but i'm sad cos i really wanted this little lorry to work out...

oh well, that'll teach me for buying things on a whim on eBay.. before checking all the measurements... tut tut tut.

does anyone know what the eBay rules are about swaps? am i allowed to say i would be open to a swap for a bigger lorry?

Oh dear.

Have a hug (and a hot choccy 'cos I'm nice like that

).

My lorry died in less than a year (leaked, rotted, rusted). I cried when it went away.

Better luck with the 'new' lorry

i've actually just had a hot choccy... oh yes, saturday night and i'm hitting the hot chocolate... party on!

i'll hunt it out. don't laugh at my lame-ass listing skills... and i haven't put any internal photos up yet. it's newly refurbished, so inside is immaculate.
new floor/ramp/jockey door etc.
BUT... i wouldn't recommend it for anything over 15hh as Raff won't fit in comfortably (but, he is very long in the body...) maybe i should list it as a pony box? anyway, the link...

*scuttles off to find it*

I'm sorry. It does look like an ideal lorry for someone with a smaller horse. I hope you sell it and get yourself something he is happier with.

Thats odd, ive never known Raf not to load?? has he been put off by anything do you think??

[/ QUOTE ]

yup, he was put off by my toddler hammering in the living area, the fact the lorry was parked practically inside a big tree, so we had to squeeze past the branches, Iggle was whinnying madly for him, and the lorry really is probably too small for him...

i didn't want to let him not load, so loaded him in kerilli's (very) posh big lorry instead.

saying that, last time i travelled him was in my friend's trailer, and he wasn't as happy as usual. i do think he prefers a nice big lorry. he tried to put his foot through the side of my friends trailer (even though it's a lovely trailer!).

how are you? how's the new toy?

i rode yesterday... he was angelic. if slightly plodtastic... but that's why i love him so!

gah, i give up. perhaps i should just put raff through a hot wash and shrink him? or keep the box just for iggle...
