It's a lovely sunny day and our local settled traveller just drove one of his horses past in a flatbed cart and then about 40 minutes later drove it back again with a dozen or so sacks of feed on the cart. Cart is just rumbling along on its iron tyres, horse is plodding quietly and driver is sitting on the flatbed with the feed with his hi-viz on. Great to see a horse doing useful work and saving a few litres of fuel as well.

with the price of diesel at them moment i don't blame him!! I've told the ginger one i'm going to break him to drive and start using him as my daily runabout!!;):D :D going to petition sainsbury's to install a tie up post and i'll be away:D

I keep asking work if I can tie BH up outside but apparently not! Boo. I'd save a fortune, would have to come through the middle of the city though which might raise a few eyebrows!

I have a very tempting field of ponies behind my office... It's the canter round the M25 that put me off :o

Nice OP :D

Did you know an old law states that if you work on MoD land and arrive via horse, they MUST put it up for the day and look after it?! I am so so tempted but dont want to put a stop to my career ha ha ha

If you ever leave your job, you should SO do that in your final week of notice! :D
