For me this is dreadful (sorry American contributors nothing personal I have American friends).
All the subtle nuances will be lost here plus some bloke connected with Billy Elliot which means that half way through there will be a 20 minute rant on the evils of Thatchers Britain.
Everyone go and see the play before it is lost forever.

I seen Billy Elliot last week and thought the Margret Thatcher bit was pointless and boring

I also saw warhorse in October and LOVED it!!! Hope it doesnt get changed

It may need a bit of a rewrite...I mean Joey was an AMERICAN horse, wasn't he?

Did the Brits even fight in WWI?

Saw the play last week, it was breathtakingly amazing and fantastic. The film should be BRITISH!

I think Spielberg films are great - he has the imagination to bring horses to life on the big screen without being corny - he certainly has done it for extra terrestrials and sharks.

Most British films are joint American projects anyway as there is no money to make them here.

Have seen play and it is fantastic - a film would be totally different but then the play isn't identical to the book either.

Cant wait to see the rant about Thatchers Britain
