Just seen the weather for this week ARRGGGHH

I've got to drive from Cumbria to Edinburgh vet hospital with horse on Thursday - about 3 hours each way on a good day! Am hoping the white stuff stays away til we get back. I hate driving the box on a good day, I'll be crapping myself if a flake of snow falls!!

I'm convinced that the weather forecasting people (having a senior moment and can't remember proper name) are secretly sponsored by the supermarkets because at the very mention of the dreaded S word people go mad panic buying and the stores end up looking like a swarm of locusts have been through taking everything with them!

Know that drvie well. I have got everything crossed for you XXX

I know - it's that awful road - I think it's the A702 when you come off the M74, through Biggar....fortunately this is about my fourth time back there, so I know the way - not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. It's not that urgent though - if we can't get there this week, we'll have to just put it off til next week. Thanks though! x

i actually dont care about the cold anymore. i've just been put on some medication for my raynauds and it actually works. so this year i can play in the snow with my kids without dying with pain. bring it on i say. altho i dont want it to snow over xmas or my parents will get snowed in here. agghhhh!

:owould it be bad to say i'd quite like snow so that i could snowed in (as horses in field opposite house I can get to them to play) and wouldn't have to go to work :) mind you plenty of food for horses here but must stock up on milk (for cups of tea) chocolate to get me through, pot noodle (for teenage son) and beer for hubby and we'll be fine

yes yes yes. i spent last year in the bad snow ferrying people around in my ford ranger. No one offered me fuel money which after 4 trips to the supermarket in one day was an issue. My car interior ended up stinking of something horrible for a long time . The ultimate insult was i ferried fellow livery to and from stables only for her to turn into a back stabbing cow as soon as it thawed. Sorry folks but this year i am going to be a selfish cow and enjoy the snow in my new ford ranger which doesnt smell.

2 of my fields at home last week . 14th Nov 2010.

I am nearly ready for the weather! I bought some cheap snow boots from Robinsons and I am currently wearing them in in the living room in preparation! They are really cosy. :D

Ordered new heavyweight for Belle but am just waiting for bidding on a rug to come to near the end on Ebay then I am going to BID LIKE THERE'S NO TOMORROW as Noah needs a thicker one really. Will have to put a fleece rug underneath his mediumweight if can't get the ebay rug in time (or layer other turnouts).
