Just to warn you: this is a totally pointless post!

In 2 days time it my daughter's 3rd birthday - her big present this year? Her favourite shetland pony called Gilda! She has spent the last few months getting to know Gilda at her current home - she is going to explode when she realises she is hers! :)

I've just spent the day doing the fencing in the field, getting her stable ready and in all beautiful sunshiny weather. :D

This is going to be wonderful. I already haven't slept for the last two nights from excitement ... I shall be knackered by the time Sunday gets here!

Awwwww cute! Enjoy! Very lucky daughter - I hope she realises! I had to wait until I could pay for and support my own before getting a horse! And yes, deffinate first day piccies needed :)

r u sure its not you that's going to explode?? :D enjoy your pony ;)

Dag nammit - you found me out! I will admit it, I am totally in love with this shettie and cannot wait to plait her up, make her girly. I have reverted to being a small child myself! I have already decided to teach pony how to drive so I can do that with her too! :D

I waited 32 yrs for my very own horse ... and what have I got - a shetland! Or rather, my daughter has a shetland! *note to self - Gilda belongs to Kezia, not you* :p

There will be loads of photos no doubt - watch this space! chuckle.

Lots of Luck for your move tomorrow Em, hope that it goes smoothly and we want to see lots of pictures of lovely Gilda in her new home.

How exciting!!! xxx

Yipeee :D How so very lovely :D :D

It's brilliant seeing your child with her/his first pony :D

But I warn you..., buy pony for one daughter, then a few months later buy a pony for other daughter, then a few months later buy horse for self..., then a couple of years down the line buy horse for daughter (still keeping ponies). You have been warned! :D :D :D

Thanks chaps!

I am exhausted - but so very happy!

Lil Gilda arrived all freshly bathed in a trailer decked out with pink Birthday balloons! Gilda herself was dressed very smartly with some lovely ribbons in her mane and a pair of fairy wings on! hahahaha! I nearly died with laughter. :D

She has so far *touch wood* settled beautifully in her new home and has made great friends with the only other horse on the yard. No stresses, no worries. She took it all in her stride with a kind of 'yeah whatever, I'm just happy to see you mum' type attitude. Such a huge relief!

And of course i *cough* I mean, Kezia, is ecstatic to have her own pony at long, long (not so long in Kezia's case!) last ...

And as promised ... here are some photos of the day ...

oh that is so sweet and I like the name Gilda.

I think that is one lucky pony to have a loving home and one very lucky little girl.

Have fun I think you will.
