My Dad wasn't much better either. Last time I had a sick horse he said if I couldn't sell her, I'd better shoot her. Non-horsey types just don't get it, do they!

So glad she is coming home, I agree with everyone else that its got to be a good sign they are sending her home, although it must be frustrating not really having any answers. Your Dad sounds like my ex, he is always coming out with crass comments if our animals are sick. Will keep sending the positive vibes for Gem, I really hope she has turned a corner now.
