This is me and my girl jumping at high speed last weekend at Ardingly - we came third in the teams of 3

I was so pleased with her, especially as I think someone on here said that trakehner was on one of the BE courses? She's been doing so well this season, its our first one doing open HT's and so far she's been clear round everything, and placed everytime

Now... I'd love to do BE with her next year (I'll have to spend the winter trying to sort out her flatwork enough to at least be able to do a dressage test!!) but I think judging by her record (and how easily she's been clearing these courses, in fact the bigger the jump the better she's jumping) she should be ready to jump an intro track by next season?

A few more of her jumping this season:

I know none of them are brilliant, but she really is starting to feel like she's doing them easily in the last couple of weeks now she's getting fit again for hunting, so I was just hoping...

Plus when we took her to Brightling she jumped a couple of things that I'm sure must have been BE... a double of rolltop/tables? and a double of what can only be described as raised triangles under some trees? some of the larger telegraph poles on wheels? oh and the (admittadly smaller) ski jump up on the hill next to the folly (do you like my desciptions?!?) anyway, she jumped everything I put her at much to the surprise of my OH who kept looking behind in horror when I kept up and jumped everything he did

So what do you think guys....? Sorry its so long!!

I think she will cope easily looking at the pics, some of them are definitely Intro fences.
Our huge hairy Minstrel has just done his first two Intros and got placed in both, it's quite funny seeing him beat all the beautiful event horses!
I would work hard on your flatwork, do as much un-aff show jumping as you can this winter and try a Day Ticket, you can do 4 before having to register her I think.

Thank you, I was just so worried I was going to overface her!! Can I ask, what size is intro (sj & xc) - she's been jumping 3ft3 xc and in the few showjumping outings we've had popping round 3ft without a problem (it's me that gets scared showjumping, she has never even rubbed a pole, super careful little madam) She clears 1.22m at home (the highest our stands get up to) without a worry, but I know its always different at shows/comps..

And also... does anyone know the jumps I described at Brightling? Does anyone know how big they are? (just out of interest - its so hard to know when you're flying round!!)!!) Are they on any of the BE courses?

Thank you again for your lovely comments

On the XC you look ready for Intro.
The problem with some unaffiliated HT is that they can be a little inconsistent. Ardingly only starts at PN and so most of the jumps that you did at the weekend are not on the BE course. The trakehner in your photo is in the PN and used to be in the Novice a couple of years ago. Both sets of steps down have been in the PN before but normally with a jump before them (the first one had this still in place).
From your descriptions of the Brightling course I think that the double of rolltops is in the Intro course - not sure about the others though.
Go for it & good luck.
