I bought some in September 2010 and started wearing them mid November and by mid March 2011 they had split.

I returned them to a very well known Equestrian supply company and they are, at present, refusing to refund me, as they said they had been worn for 6 months. Well this is clearly incorrect and I have expressed this very strongly and say they are not fit for purpose.

I am very angry with their attitude and the saga continues.

So would like other peoples views.

Many thanks :(

To be honest I never expect mine to last more than a hard winter, but then I do ride in mine, walk the dogs for miles, muck out..pretty much wear them to all the time except in the house so I don't really mind replacing them yearly. I do find mine go at the side of the toes from riding. Depends what you've done with yours, if it's just general wear I'd be annoyed but as I do subject mine to alot of hard work I'm perfectly happy.

Mine have lasted all winter with no problems as yet, I'm actually quite pleased with them as I've had three pairs of Muckboots that all split/leaked after a month or two.

My Husband had some last December, heavily worn all year as he works on a stud, and they split just recently. They are really comfy and although he complains that they dont grip well on mud and ice I think they have lasted OK. We do expect his to only last 1 year TBH.

Thanks for all your replies :)

I have hardly worn mine and only ridden in them a handful of times, if that. I always wear the heels down straight away, as I always do, just by walking in them and that is the only wear they have and I do not expect them to split so soon :(. I feel that 4 months of wear is not good enough

My Hunters always lasted a couple of years of wearing them all the time.

However I have worn my Harry Hall Willow boots most of the time, which have been fantastic and although tatty now, have faired well and I would not hesitate in buying those again.

I am not happy and the Muckruckers are a waste of money :(:(

My Mudruckers died after a year of constant use, and started to leak. They now sit in the garage as I mourn them.......because instead of following my instinct and getting another pair, I bought a pair of b***** pink/brown mudruckers. Not NEARLY as comfy. and that after just eight week's use, are no longer pink/brown as it's worn off, and are now a complete mess

I've complained to both mudruckers, and the ebay seller, but got nowhere. So i've agreed with hubs that they look better covered in mud, and I'll use them as winter wellies till they die completely. Or i kill them.

And then I'll splash out on another pair of mudruckers. :D

TBH mine lasted years! That's dog walking, riding, yard jobs and even though they split after about 2 years, they still lasted another 2 - for some reason they didn't actually leak.
I have now however invested in some JT Huntsvilles - they cost 80 (as a 21st b'day present :D) and are SO comfy, I wear them to the yard, to lectures, to drive in...!

I bought mine in October 2009 and they're still going strong. I've worn them pretty much everyday especially over winter. They've been on lots of long dog walks as well as being used and abused around the yard. I agree with comment made about the lack of grip on mud and ice but would still rate them highly. When we had weeks of snow and freezing conditions my feet were toasty and warm in these boots, unlike wellies. I also like the way they fit snuggly to your leg so you don't end up with all manner of bits and pieces down your leg! So it's a thumbs up from me.

We are confirmed Tyne Muckbooters.

But just for a change a couple of winters ago I bought my daughter a pair of Mudruckers and they didn't even last the winter. Total waste of money and won't be buying them again :-(

Mind you we have found that recently the Muckboots do not seem to last as long either. Our wear patterns haven't changed so am wondering if the manufacture has?
